The challenge

Today, people are facing a lot of problems regarding the availability of drinking water. The water resources are getting depleted day by day, the rivers are getting dried up, the groundwater level is reducing. Many countries have started realizing that there could be a water scarcity in the future. Currently, there are five countries that have a water shortage. To tackle this problem many governments are trying to find its solution with many new innovations. Companies like Kent, Aqua-gaurd and many more which manufactures water purifiers are misleading most of the users with features like R.O.+UV+U.F. filtration with TDS controller, etc which is removing essential minerals from the water required for mankind. These companies using their marketing tactics to manipulate users to buy their purifiers which end up wasting lot of money and wasting water during the process of purification. In India, according to many news insights government is trying to ban R.O. purifiers in the areas where TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) level is less than 500 ppm (parts per million) as it is considered that water with TDS level less than 500 ppm is drinkable water. Also, Nowadays users are getting more concerned about their health and getting more data-driven which requires a system that can provide data for the quality of the water they are consuming.

The solution

To resolve the problems the idea to develop a sustainable water purifier was brought into consideration which can generate water and also purifies water without wastage. The purifier is equipped with few sensors which keep track of the quality of water and the additional feature which make this purifier to stand out from other, is it can easily get connected with Alexa or Google Home devices which allows user to operate the purifier with voice command which solves the problem of measuring water the user only need to give a command with a certain quantity of water and the purifier will pump only the desired amount of water.
